Hi,
At present I am living in USA on H1B visa. I am planning to invite my parents in law in the USA on tourist visa(B2 visa). There are two discrepancies found in their passport.
1.
Father In LawÂ’s passport:
Surname=DEY
Given Name= RATAN
Name of Spouse=KAVERI DEY (Plz note ‘V’)
2.
Mother in LawÂ’s passport:
Surname=DE
GivenName=KABERI (Plz note ‘B’)
Name of Spouse= RATAN DE
So two discrepancies- one is the surname of each other are not matching and mother in lawÂ’s given name is not matching with what is mentioned in father in lawÂ’s passport in name of spouse section.
So
1. will that be an issue during their B2 visa interview together at US consulate?
2. Should I book their interview separately in different slots or days as individual traveler. In any case The interviewer checks their names in each otherÂ’s passport to check the relationship.
3. Should I ask them to make Affidavits for one and same names?
4. Should I ask them to correct their names in their passports?
Please advise me what should be the safest option .
